30% PRO PUMPKIN PEEL – WHY NOT USE WHEN PREGNANT?

Question:

Could you please elaborate why not to use the pumpkin peel if someone is planning to get pregnant? I have two unopened jars. How long would they last unopened? Would you have another product you could recommend instead of the pumpkin peel? Thank you.

Answer:

There is really no known danger – it’s a precautionary measure and needs to be stated in the instructions. It’s the same thing with Retin-A, although there are no known dangers of using it while pregnant, it’s stated not to use it.

The only concern with the 30% Pro Pumpkin Peel is that there is salicylic acid in it – so if you, or your unborn baby have an allergy to aspirin (salicylic acid is in aspirin), then there really would be an issue. So it’s a matter of ‘better safe than sorry’.

The 30% Pro Pumpkin Peel has a shelf life of 3 years.

If you want to exfoliate (and exfoliate very well!) while pregnant, the Microfiber Cleansing Cloth is amazing.

Just don’t scrub with it – it’s a powerful exfoliating tool.
