HYPO-PIGMENTATION: QUESTION OF THE DAY

Question: Do any of your products help hypo-pigmentation, like Formula 5-5-5 or Formula 7?

Answer: In my experience, there isn’t a topical product that gets rid of or improves hypopigmentation. Hypopigmentation is a deficiency in pigment – the skin is white. In this case, permanent makeup could be a viable solution. I also remember reading that there has been success for hypo-pigmented tissue with needling. By needling the areas and then getting some UV exposure after two weeks, it allows the melanocytes to travel back into the area to re-pigment the skin. I have not researched this, nor have experience with it, but I wanted to mention it since I was asked about it.
