THE IMPORTANCE OF EXFOLIATION….
Exfoliation Benefits:
Exfoliating your skin is important for several reasons. Here is a list of the benefits of exfoliation, along with some tips to get the best results possible.
Promotes new cell growth
Stimulates collagen production
Makes your skin care products penetrate much better
Builds elasticity
Gives your skin a beautiful glow
Keeps skin acne free
Keeps dead skin cells from dulling your skin
Keeps pores from becoming clogged
Breaks up pigmented cells so they fade
How NOT to exfoliate:
Please don’t use strong acids on your skin daily – it will age you!
Avoid grainy scrubs – they put tiny tears in your skin
Don’t exfoliate every day – it’s just not necessary and if you have oily/acne prone skin, you will accelerate sebum/oil production. 3 times a week works beautifully and is enough for all skin types (except rosacea)
For rosacea, gently use the Microfiber Cleansing Cloth (no scrubbing) and you can also use the 30% Pro Pumpkin Peel; but leave it on for only 5 mintues instead of 10.
Do avoid TCA peels – if you insist on having one, please, please have it done by a professional
Any acid peel should not be more than 30%
Avoid scrubbing when using the microfiber cleansing cloth
How to Exfoliate:
I use my Microfiber Cleansing Cloth every other day or 3 times a week.
Once a month, I give myself my 30% Pro Pumpkin Peel treatment. The difference (and this is huge) between the 30% Pro Pumpkin Peel and other acids is that the pumpkin peel feeds your skin with over 100 nutrients.
