WAIT PERIODS BETWEEN LAYERING PRODUCTS

Hi everyone!

I’ve had a couple of clients recently inquiring about the amount of time needed to wait between applying one product over the other. It’s prompted me to discuss it here to help clear it up. It has also prompted me to make a few amendments to the Product Instructions. So thank you for asking!

The #1 thing to know is that it’s important to let a product soak in before applying anything over it. In the product instructions, I had said that it’s best to wait about 5 minutes. I wrote that so you would understand the importance of waiting between layering products. I have now removed them…. and just put a blanket statement on the Product Instructions (see it in bold & italics below):

As a rule of thumb, products get applied in the following sequence:

Serums
Gels
Lotions
Creams (unless they are film forming, then oils go on first)
Oils

Apply enough product to just cover your skin unless otherwise noted. Always let a product soak into your skin completely before applying another product over it.
