YOGA AND YOUR SKIN

Skin suffering from stress? Give yoga a try.
Yoga is a system of exercises where the body moves through a series of postures that are held for specified periods of time. The postures are called asanas, which increase blood flow and circulation to skin cells, helping to purge the body of toxins and impurities.
Sweating is an excellent detoxifier, ridding the skin of dirt, oil, pollution, and grime. As you move through difficult postures, the sweat will pour… but remember… the rhythm of breathing is key. Exhaling expels toxins from the body and skin, while inhaling fills your system with fresh oxygen. After your yoga session, you’ll want to hit the shower immediately to wash away the sweat and odor-causing bacteria. This grime can clog your pores, which can cause body blemishes.
With its asana poses and deep breathing techniques, yoga is an excellent way to relieve stress, silencing your stress hormones… which can help improve your skin’s condition.
